Clean Tech embedded in the floor to power your green life style (I).

Why 80% of the world energy will be consumed in the cities by 2040?. Because 80% of world's popullation will live in the cities. Unbelievable but true. But, what challenges must be solved in these overcrowded cities?. And, what about the future urban planning?. Is possible to transform the infrastructures in local clean energy devices?. These are some questions that I ask myself. The cities must be designed following a sustainable model. Maybe it is necessary that this new city model share all the benefits of the smart cities or green cities. But why not push a new city model dased on the Green Selfpowered Infrastructures ?. Produce energy locally based on renewables is cheaper than buying energy in the current markets based on fossil fuels.

Example of a peer to peer energy system, in this case buildings produce clean energy and share it

To be smart is necessary to have power, but which type of power?. It is a big discussion promoted by the governments but the citizen bet for a better future: The future is clean. The future must be based on renewables. The current energy model must be changed. Maybe to feel smarter and be friendly with the environment is necessary to produce locally a part of the new energy consumption as the Walkable Hybrid Energy Systems (WHES) or BIPV systems and build the Green Selfpowered Infraestructures. That's the way followed by OTEM2000 to build the cities of tomorrow. That's the way followed by OTEM2000 to:

(1) get cost savings, cost reductions and build cities more competitive. Produce energy locally based on renewables is cheaper that buy energy in the current markets based on fossil fuels.

(2) get the objectives of the European Strategy Horizon 2020.

(3) protect the environment, reducing the CO2 emissions which have a big impact in GreenHouse and climate change effects.

(4) improve the quality life of the citizen, reducing the air pollution.

(5) produce energy 100% free C02 emissions.

It can be an example of Green Selfpowered Infraestructures based on WHES. The WHES, based on kinetic tiles and solar tiles , powers a charging mobile station, in this case sponsored by Yup!Charge. The WHES (with one OTEM2000's Magnus Solar tile and 3 kinetic tiles by Energy Floors) is installed in Rotterdam, in an outdoor location and the charging unit indoor, closely. Do you know how many phones can be powered by the WHES unit?. In this case, the Walkable Hybrid Energy System is available to charge (standard calculation) 75000 units/year or 205 units/day (MAX, each mobile is charged only 1 time per day, 100% charged).
